Picasso & Wine was born in 2012 when Jennifer Woods, and her two daughters, Alissa & Alanna opened the first Paint & Sip Art Studio in Nevada. Located in a trendy neighborhood of Midtown Reno, and in a historic 1930’s building, it offers customers a unique experience from the moment you walk in the door. It is our mission to offer a space where people can come together to embrace and flex their creativity, while having a grand ol’ time painting, making and designing.
Meet the Staff of Picasso & Wine
Picasso & Wine can only be the great place that it is by being run by wonderful people.
Owner / Artist
Well…she kinda runs the show at Picasso & Wine. At least we let her think she does. Alissa’s main responsibilities are Creative Development, Marketing and Teaching classes. She also dabbles in Accounting, HR and Janitorial…like most small business owners do! She’s kind of a badass…that’s why we don’t mess with her. Kidding. We totally do!
Jenn is the all-important Art Guru at Picasso & Wine. She is co-creator of all our paintings and projects, helps manage and train new art staff and is a computer graphics genius. She is part Picasso and part Steve Jobs..no kidding! She makes sure everyone has everything they need in order for patrons to create amazing art and have a great time. Yep… She’s Magic.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Our classes have limited seating so signing up in advance is highly recommended. You can register online via our online calendar or come into the studio.
How much does it cost?
Typically a two-hour painting is $25-$35 and a three-hour painting is $40-$45. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover Card, and gift certificates.
What is included?
We provide the artist, canvas, paint, brushes, easels, and aprons. We do all the setup and clean up. You just show up, have fun, create your artwork, and take it home. Snacks, beverages, and liquor are available in our studios and at some venues, but not typically included in the cost.
How long is a Picasso & Wine Class?
Classes are typically 2-3 hours long with plenty of entertaining breaks.
What should I wear?
We provide aprons, but suggest you wear clothing that is not your nicest. Dress comfortably and remember splatter happens.
What time do I arrive for a class?
Plan to arrive 20-30 minutes early to settle in, grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. If you’re a few minutes late, the staff will help you ‘catch up’. If you’re more than 15 minutes late, you’ll need to reschedule, subject to the Cancellation Policy. It’s your fun night out, arrive early!
If I come with a group, can we all sit together?
Seating is first come, first serve. If you have a large party please show up early or call us in advance. We typically can make sure your whole party stays together.
What is your cancellation policy?
Public Events: Picasso & Wine offers an art instruction and entertainment event that can be compared to a concert or theater event. We realize that unforeseen things happen, but we also would appreciate the time to offer the seat to others and fill the spot.
Reservations are non refundable. A full credit will be issued if you contact us at least 48 hours prior to the event. Cancellations made within 48 hours will result in a credit, less a $10 cancellation fee per seat. NO credits or refunds for no-shows.
Tickets are fully transferable, and you may let someone of your own choosing use your ticket in your absence.
Private Events: We have a 10 day cancellation policy for Private Events. In the event you need to cancel within 10 days of your event, you forfeit your deposit. Should any guests cancel inside of the 10 day policy, they will be issued a credit for a future class. We do not issue refunds for Private Events.
We may cancel Public classes without a minimum of 10 attendees. Customers will be notified via email and a refund will be given. If a different event is scheduled instead, your ticket will automatically be transferred to the new event. You have the option of a refund up to 48 hours prior if you choose not to attend the replacement event.
